About
Hi, I’m Sandy Fleming, your hostess at Teaching Reading. I’m so glad that you stopped by. Hopefully you’ll find just what you’re looking for here to help you help others to improve reading. If you have questions, though, or need any further information, please feel free to email me at reading (at) allinfoaboutreading.info.
By way of introduction, I’m a vetern special education teacher who currently works as a private tutor, literacy consultant, and freelance writer. I design curriculum and worksheets activities as well as dabble in grant writing. I hold my master’s degree in special education, and my bachelor’s in elementary and special education. I live in Michigan with my family, and am self-employed as well as employed part-time by the local mental health agency to teach reading to their clients. In my “spare” time (HA!), I’m organizing a literacy initiative in our county, helping with Girl Scouts, and assisting with various projects at our church. It all keeps me out of too much mischief.
I look forward to getting to know you, and hope you’ll drop in again soon, and leave me a comment or send me an email!
You can also find me at my other sites:
and an assortment of Squidoo Lenses and Hubpages. See you around!
